主语＋动词…，＋but＋主语＋动词＋…。

说明︰

but 当“但是；然而”解，它含有“相反；对比”的意味；由 but 所连接的两个单字须用“相同的词性”。

It doesn’t rain a lot in fall, but it rains a lot in spring.
秋天不下很多雨，但春天下很多雨。
He caught a cold yesterday, but he went to school today.
他昨天得了感冒，但今天去上学了。
I went to bed late, but I got up early.
