此句型意为“不论是…还是…”。whether 引导的<子句>句尾可用<对等连接词> or，以连接对等的单字、<词组>。whether <子句>中的<主语>若与<主要子句>相同时，则该<主语>可省略；whether <子句>的句构若为“<主语>＋be <动词>＋<补语>”，而<补语>又对称时，则可保留“<补语>＋or＋<补语>”，其余部分则省略。
